DPF – part 3

As promised here are a few more details:

First to remove the keyboard without the bios freaking out just replace the flex cable with a piece of foil that will short out the last few pins of the connector, as soon as I am home I will upload a pic of this. If you look close you will see the original cable already has a kind of built-in short/jumper itself.

Second, If you are going to stack the lcd and motherboard as I have I recommend placing a piece of foil or other grounded conductive material between the lcd assembly and motherboard. The reason for this is simple, the inverter has a tendency to throw sparks as long as 3/4″ to anything grounded. This may be overkill but I prefer to be safe rather than have to rebuild the motherboard.
