Click on the image to enlarge it, see the area I have circled? See the built-in jumper? Make your own jumper out of foil or something else thin and conductive and wedge it in the connector in place of the ribbon cable. Of course you are already setup to ssh into your picture frame aren’t you?

Don’t forget to disable the trackpoint:

*use at your own risk*

- go into the system config utility (which you get forced into when your
enabled trackpoint is disconnected)
- get back to the main menu and goto “config”
- press control-d
- make sure you are on the “base 128 cmos” page:
-at ofset 20h (1st column, 3rd row)
change value to “01″

- press f2 then f3
- exit out and restart
