I have been desperately trying to learn r/t Pocket PCs (remember the ancestor of the phone our kids all have?). I fell in love with a Sprint Mogul at first sight, snatched one off ebay on the same visit (at a friend’s). Well, again, Windoze just don’t cut it. So now I been porting my Win98/smidge of desktop Puppy/Ubuntu/ect to this wonderful Blue Angel I picked out of the Ebay pile. I appreciate your information, you have no idea. Everyone says wifi works, but I think I’m getting closer… Hopefully the info on this page will help. And hopefully I’ll someday get a job, maybe working on these contraptions (no money here around computers…). As soon as I have something worth passing on, I hope to give back to this community. I was stoked about porting Android to the BlueAngel, but turns out that was an old post and it’s been done. And looks like Android my pass into “what was I thinking” sooner than I’d hoped…

Sorry to bee so wordy, I just wanted to say I appreciate your helping us newbs out.

but then if I click “Back” it just reloads same message and if I try to “Signup” again I get an error as well.

Ouch… 2.1 has a major problem, cannot connect to the phone network, rejects my sim card, apart from that it looks good.

First impressions: 2.0-min, very… minimalist, but also damn fast, music works fine now, as do most of the main functions, gps takes a while for first lock, about 5-7 minutes, not unusual.

Since 2.1 is in alpha I’m trying that next, although I’m probably going to customise the install tar to include Nano, and possibly one or two apps I like to have handy
